Sadler Donates
Autism Awareness Helmet for Online Auction
EMPORIA,
Va. -- For the month of April, Elliott Sadler is wearing a
specially-designed Autism Awareness helmet in every race. In May, that
very same helmet will belong to whoever wants it most.
To raise funds and awareness, Sadler had the helmet designed with the
colorful, jigsaw Autism puzzle pieces. During the Texas, Phoenix and
Talladega races in April, the driver of the No. 19 Dodge will be wearing
the colorful concoction in competition.
Donated by Impact Racing and designed by Ryan Young of Indocil Art, the
helmet will then be up for auction via the Hermie and Elliott Sadler
Charitable Foundation website. Starting May 1st, bids will be accepted
via
www.sadlerfoundation.org/auction_page.asp until it closes on May
19th.
The awareness and auction are more than just the NASCAR driver being
charitable – it’s personal.
“Helping to create awareness for autism is an extremely important cause
for me,” Elliott Sadler said. “It hits really close to home because my
niece, Halie, is autistic. The great Autism related charities we’ve
worked with over the years offer many different programs and
opportunities to help not only those suffering from this developmental
disability, but also their families.
“It is a cause that I’ll do all I can to help raise money and awareness.
“We’re not just trying to raise money for the Hermie and Elliott Sadler
Charitable Foundation, we’re looking to educate people and raise more
awareness about Autism.”
Once the auction concludes on May 19th, the winner bidder will receive
the autographed helmet and a Certificate of Authenticity from Elliott
Sadler on Elliott Sadler Enterprises letterhead.
Bid now, bid big - and help Autism.
