Question: If you had to choose another occupation what would you like to do?  - Liz from Ansonia, OH

Answer: I'd be a country music singer!

Question: -How did you celebrate your Pocono CWTS win?   - Nathan from NC

Answer: I was planning to go to Nags Head, NC with some friends to celebrate but after the wreck on Sunday I decided to come to Nags Head, NC to chill out for a few days.

Question: -Are there any rules in the cup series that you can't stand or would you like to see any rules altered in anyway?

Answer: There's always things we'd do different, right? It's the whole Monday morning quarterback theory... I spun coming off of turn 3 and hit the commitment cone. I was penalized a lap for a commitment line violation. I wasn't attempting to pit but it was still a penalty. I don't agree with that at all.

Question: -I wondered what your thought or opinion was of the new qualifying format, now that you've done it, at Pocono?   - Tracy from Rockford, IL

Answer: I don't know how it was perceived from the fans in the stands or from folks watching on TV but I really liked it. It made everything go faster and the drama was building up to who would have the pole with the last group being the fastest in practice. Fortunately we were able to come home with the pole and go on to win the race.

Question: -Have any plans of being in anymore of blake shelton videos in the near future?  - Raymond from Danville, VA

Answer: I do but apparently he doesn't. Every video I've been in with Blake went to number 1. I don't know why he keeps giving me the cold shoulder on the new videos. Maybe it's because I constantly make fun of all his blue, plaid shirts.

Question: As a member of the military I really appreciate all the support you give to Active Duty, Retired, and Veterans alike. Have you ever considered teaming up with the USO to do a morale visit overseas (during the offseason of course) to our deployed troops?  - Aaron from Bellevue, NE

Answer: I have and I'd love to go. I enjoy watching media features on those guys that go over and spend time with the troops. It has always been tough to make it happen with our off season being so short as far as our travel goes. And, I'm not a big fan of flying at all so that long of a flight freaks me out a little bit.

Question: When heading back to Virginia is there a place that you always go back to, or a local place that holds a special place to you?  - James from Clover, SC

Answer: James, I still live in Emporia so all of the great things about growing up at home are still there for me -- my friends, family, favorite places to eat, etc. As far as a place I like to go to when I'm home... Definitely Nags Head, NC. I enjoy deep sea fishing and hanging out with my friends and family down there. We've been going on vacations there since I was a child and it's still something I look forward to every year.

Question: If you can teach Wyatt just one thing, what would that be?  - David from Chesterville, ME

Answer: Be himself. Amanda and I both have great families so I'm confident he'll grow up with all of the support he needs to be a good person. We both hope that he'll be athletic and involved in sports. My Dad has already bought him a shotgun and we're both looking forward to being able to take him hunting in the near future. It's something my Dad taught me how to do and I look forward to all three of us being able to do it together.

Question: I was wondering what you actually wore under your firesuit the day of the race or what you can wear?  - Erin from Friendship, NY

Answer: We used to just wear T-shirts. Safety has come a long ways. So, now, we actually wear fire proof underwear from head to toe under our fire suits. Oakley provides all of that stuff for me and I definitely have gotten used to wearing it.

Question: When your NASCAR career comes to an eventual end, which do you think you would rather do; be a commentator or guide hunting trips on your land?  - Byron from Madisonville, KY

Answer: Hopefully I'll be able to keep racing until I'm in my 40's. That's what I want to do. But, I think because of our schedules in NASCAR I'd be able to do both. I'm building a hunting lodge now near my hunting property and hopefully I'll be able to spend some time in the booth on the weekends and be able to oversee the hunting camp during my spare time.

Question: What does your motor coach driver & your pilot do during the race weekend? Are they part of your crew?  - Gail from Miami, FL

Answer: My motorcoach drivers name is Will. He's been with me since the 2000 season. His duties are to drive the coach from one race to the next and have it set up and stocked with groceries. He ususally drives to the race on Monday or Tuesday and then I come in on Thursday afternoon. During the weekend he maintains the coach and helps me out with logistics like to and from qualifying, drivers meeting, appearances, etc.

My pilots typically fly me in on Thursday and they return home until Sunday. Generally speaking, it's less expensive for them to go home than for me to keep them on-site. Hotels, Per Diem and rental car expenses can add up very quickly.

Great question!! I don't think I've ever been asked that one before

Question: Elliott after seeing all you do for the fans I was wondering what the coolest or oddest thing a fan has done for you?  - Marc from Dryden, ON

Answer: A few fans have had my name Tattooed on their body. That's pretty cool!!!

Question: How hard is it to drive the speed limit when you are out driving your personal car?  - Renee from DE

Answer: It's not that bad but I do tailgate real bad so if I ever get behind you don't be offended if I give you a little nudge. HAHA

Question: Do you have a nick name picked out for your son? And would you like him to follow in your Footsteps and be a Nascar Driver?  - Alice from TX

Answer: No nicknames yet but I'm sure he'll end up with a few as he grows up. I have several around the track and around my hometown. Amanda and I are both fairly tall and athletic so I hope he'll enjoy playing team sports. I'm sure if he wants to race he'll have plenty of opportunities to do that, too. I think my Dad bought Wyatt a shotgun and a go kart the day he was born!!

Question: Elliott, are you looking forward to getting rid of the wing and bringing back the spoiler and do you think it'll bring back better side by side racing? What will be the difference between the two?  - Tracy from IL.

Answer: Yes. I like the spoiler. I've never really been a fan of the wing. In the tests it seemed like the spoiler gave the cars more stability on entry. We all tested at Charlotte a few weeks back and I didn't see a lot of guys really racing each other so we'll have to see how it plays out in traffic.

Question: Elliott, off-weeks where there are no races scheduled are very rare. What do you normally do when there's no race scheduled?  - Steve from PA.

Answer: I'm trying to spend as much time with Wyatt and Amanda as I can right now so these off weekends with Wyatt are definitely a change for me. I enjoy staying home so I typically don't venture very far from Emporia, VA on the off weekends. If I do venture out it's usually over to Lake Gaston or over to Nags Head, NC.

Question: Is there any paint scheme in the 2010 season that you look forward to driving in the most?  - Lisa from MN.

Answer: I have to say I'm very happy to have all of our primary partners on board. Stanley is back with us and we have some great new parters with Hunt Brothers Pizza, Reynolds, PVA and the United States Air Force. I'm looking forward to driving all of the different paint schemes this year. Each car looks great and all of the brands are great reflections of me and my lifestyle.

The Stanley brand is a household brand for me and my family whether we're talking about tools or security systems. Many of you know the Air Force used to sponsor me back when I drove for the Wood Brothers. And, many of you know I'm a huge supporter of our military. I'm really glad to be reunited with the United States Air Force this season. And, Paralyzed Veterans of America is a great fit with our team and my personal beliefs.

You guys know I like to eat and I like to cook. We own two Hunt Brothers Pizza franchises so to have those guys on the car is awesome. I eat Pepperoni Pizza every chance I get. And, there's no better way to preserve it than with Reynolds Wrap!

I'm very fortunate to have sponsors that relate to my everyday life.

Question: Elliott, I was wondering how much input you might have on your paint schemes?  - Kelley from IN.

Answer: There are some instances where I get a little bit of input but for the most part the paint schemes are left up to the sponsors to design. The teams typically have a lot of say in the style and font of the car number. And, I have a lot of say in what goes above my door. You'll typically see my name, a United States of America Flag, an Autism logo and a breast cancer awareness logo. I take a lot of pride in seeing those logos as I climb into my car each and every Sunday.

Question: If you had to pick just one track which would be your favorite and why?  - Stephanie from PA.

Answer: Bristol. I've always said it's heaven on earth when you're referring to race tracks. The track is small, high banked, super fast and the atmosphere is awesome. Last year they let us walk out to our favorite intro song. Of course, I went with 2001. Ric Flair is the man!

Question: What are your thoughts about the driving a truck at Daytona? How does it differ from the cup car?  -Chris from IL.

Answer: It was a lot of fun and the Hunt Brothers Pizza truck was fast. Unfortunately we were caught up in someone else's wreck but thats the way plate racing goes sometimes. The trucks were definitely a handful to drive but the biggest difference from series to series is the closing rates in the draft. The trucks are able to get a run on the truck in front of them pretty easily because the trucks make such a big hole in the air. We're running seven more truck races between now and the end of the year and hopefully we'll have another chance to win some more.
