Todd Parrott
Crew Chief No. 19 Richard Petty Motorsports Ford Birthdate: February 9, 1964 Marital Status: Single Children: Tyler and Chandler Hometown: Charlotte, N.C. Current Residence: Mooresville, N.C. Todd Parrott joined the Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) family in July 2010 after spending the first half of the season as a member of the Roush Fenway Racing organization. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Parrott brings with him over 15 years of experi-ence as a crew chief in NASCAR. Parrott's first foray into the crew chief posi-tion was working for Ernie Irvan in 1995 at Yates Racing. It was also at Yates Racing that Parrott first hooked up with Elliott Sadler. Serving as his crew chief beginning mid season 2003 through late 2005, the duo paired up to earn two victories—one each at Texas Motor Speedway and California Speedway in 2004 en route to Sadler’s most successful season to date. In all, Parrott has amassed 29 wins in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR’s highest level of racing. In addition, the 46-year-old was crew chief for driver Dale Jarrett when the No. 88 Yates Racing team claimed the 1999 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship. Parrott is the son of former Richard Petty crew chief Buddy Parrott. “Todd and I have always been able to communicate with one another very comfortably,” Sadler said. “He’s been around the sport a long time and has gathered a ton of knowledge. We trust each other’s ability to get the job done and in this sport, that’s invaluable.” When he’s not working hard at the track or in the shop, Parrott enjoys spending time with his kids and relax-ing on the lake. |
