Elliott Sadler on Pocono Raceway:
“We ended up wrecked on the last lap the last time we were at Pocono Raceway, so I’m certainly hoping for a better result than that. Last weekend was really a heartbreaker, getting caught up in that accident on the first lap. This No. 19 Air Force team worked really hard and I really felt like we had hit on some things in the final practice and had the car dialed in. I was expecting a solid race. On the bright side, I think we can use some of our notes from practice and apply the things we learned to the race this weekend in Pocono.
,br> “We need to qualify up front and stay there this weekend. That’s our goal every weekend, but it’s really important here because track position is everything. We really want to get this Ford Fusion up front where it belongs and make the folks with the Air Force proud of what we can do, because we’re certainly proud to be associated with them.”

Crew Chief Todd Parrott’s Thoughts on Pocono:
“For Pocono you have to have a good-balanced car. The straight-aways are long and you have to be able to turn well in the center and have really good drive off. A lot of guys fought loose off the corners at the first race there this year. Based on some things I think we learned in practice on Saturday at Indian-apolis Motor Speedway, I’m looking forward to going to Pocono. The No. 9 car ran really well there the first race so I think we’ve got a lot of positive things to build off of. Track position will be key there so good pit stops and a good car are really important.”

Chassis History:
The No. 19 Air Force Ford Fusion team has prepared chassis No. 283 for this weekend’s event. This is the same car the team ran earlier this season at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway and Michigan International Speedway.

Richard Petty Motorsports and the No. 19 Air Force team will have a special VIP guest this weekend. General Roger A. Brady is Commander of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe; Commander, Air Component Command, Ramstein; and Director, Joint Air Power Competency Center, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He is responsible for Air Force activities, con-ducted through 3rd Air Force, in an area of operations covering almost one-fifth of the globe. This area includes 51 coun-tries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and the Arctic and Atlantic oceans with a total population reaching nearly one billion people speaking more than 80 languages. He also has administrative control of 17th Air Force, providing support, logistics and resources to the U.S. Africa Command.

Sadler will be behind the wheel of the No. 2 Kevin Harvick, Inc. NASCAR Camping World truck this weekend at Pocono. The race Saturday will mark the first time the Truck Series has competed on the Pocono Raceway tri-oval.
