Week Ten Question

Question:  Elliott, I recently read that you have had family in the service. I was curious what your reaction was when NASCAR stopped the race and had the drivers stop on the track and the pit crew guys stand on pit road to pay tribute to the troops?

Answer:  That's the first time we've ever done anything like that as long as I've been in the sport. I thought it was great. We are able to live our everyday lives here in America thanks to the men and women that have served, are serving and will serve in our military. That very important to me and is very dear to my heart. Racing is what I live to do but having us stop to honor past, present and future Americans in our military really puts it into perspective.
