ELLIOTT
SADLER
MICHIGAN
RACE PREVIEW
STATESVILLE,
N.C. - The last three times Elliott Sadler visited Michigan
International Speedway in the No. 19 Dodge he has walked away with a
top-15 finish including two top 10s. The 34-year-old Virginian is
currently leading the way for a team that likes to finish what it
starts. Sadler is tied with Tony Stewart for the longest active DNF- Did
Not Finish - streak in the Sprint Cup Series among drivers who have
competed in every race. Adding to the streak is that every driver at
Richard Petty Motorsports has finished every points race this year. The
only other regular team that can make that claim is Stewart-Haas Racing.
Sadler Quotes
ON THE DNF STREAK: "Having the longest DNF streak in the Cup Series in
an impressive feat, but I honestly have to give most of the credit to my
race team. The guys working on these race cars at the shop and the guys
that travel with us each week are doing an amazing job. Our engines are
as durable as anyone out there and I know the guys down in the Concord
engine shop take great pride in that. We have had some really close
calls-especially last week in Watkins Glen, but I've said it before and
I'll say it again-my guys never quit! They bring their best each and
every week and in my opinion they are the best in the garage. I'm happy
they are on my team."
ON MICHIGAN: "We are really looking to get back on the right track this
weekend. We've had a couple of tough weeks and we feel like we can get
things back in line at a place like Michigan. We have been good there
lately and I think it would be a huge boost for our team."
