Feb 16, 2009:  Well I've had a day to think about what could have been and to be honest with you it isn't any easier to swallow today than it was on Sunday night. I have been so close to winning that race so many times and I'll have to wait another year to give it another shot.

To come up 45 seconds, a half a lap short, is definitely heart breaking. But, there are so many positives that came out of Daytona. Now our company needs to work hard to position the teams to compete at that level every week. Three cars in the top-10 is a strong opening statement.

Speedweeks is a lot of work on and off the track. My sponsors were all great to me over the past couple of weeks and man was I busy. Stanley, Dodge, Best Buy, Coke and Tylenol had me running all over the place and it was great meeting all of their guests and fans. I must say Daytona felt a little bit different this year with the economy and everything. Everyone seems very appreciative of each other.

I flew to Statesville this morning to meet with the team and then I flew back home to Emporia. I'm hosting PRN Fast Talk tonight. Then I'll rest a couple of days and then head west to Fontana. I'm flying out with Kasey and then I'm driving over to Vegas Sunday night after the Fontana race. I'm not a fan at all of flying so I figure when I get out west I may as well stay.
