November 2nd, 2009:

It's a boy! We're very excited about the news we got last week when we went in for the ultrasound. My Dad, I think, is as excited as we are.

We had a strong Stanley Ford and a good run in Talladega. The race was a bit non-typical I thought. It seemed like we'd race hard for about 10 laps, ride around for about 25 or so single file then race hard leading into the pit stop window. But, the end, as usual was wild.

The 14 came across the nose of my car on the backstretch and we ended up with some damage. But, the guys went to work and on that last restart we came from the back to 9th. We'll take a top-10!

I'm happy for Jamie. He's one of my best friends in the garage and to see him win was great. Kasey also had a good finish. It's good to see the 9 team get some of their mojo back.

I'm off to deer hunt for a couple of days this week at the farm near my house. Then, early Thursday morning I'm off to Texas. I love Texas -- the track and the state.

I'm stopping by the Stanley plant for a visit then I'll be signing autographs at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) at 1175 S. Main Street in Keller, TX starting at 2:30pm.

Three to go. This season has really flown by. Hopefully we can finish the season with some more good runs.
