November 2nd, 2009:  It's a boy! We're very excited about the news we got last week when we went in for the ultrasound. My Dad, I think, is as excited as we are.

We had a strong Stanley Ford and a good run in Talladega. The race was a bit non-typical I thought. It seemed like we'd race hard for about 10 laps.......

October 26th, 2009:  Hey guys. I hope you are all doing well. I have a lot to report on...
We had a great fan club gathering in Charlotte. I want to thank all of you that came out. My team lost again bowling. I think Hermie is either cheating or he's recruiting his players ahead of time. Hopefully everyone had as much fun as Hermie and I did.......

September 21st, 2009:  We had a great race yesterday and scored a solid 8th place finish. It's great to see our team making some strides and gaining momentum back. I'm really proud of my team and I'm glad we had a good showing for the race fans and the Stanley guests that were on-hand......

September 14th, 2009:  I wanted to take a moment to thank my fellow competitors, sponsors and fans for all of the well wishes over the past week. Amanda and I are very excited about the birth of our first child...

September 8th, 2009:  I hope all of you guys are doing well. We’ve been plugging along on the No. 19 team and seem to be making some strides. Congrats to “Double K” on his win Sunday night. That’s great timing for him and the No. 9 team and it sets them up to make the chase so long as nothing crazy happens on Saturday night at RIR. Hopefully we’ll have a good showing this weekend in front of the hometown crowd in Richmond, VA. I would rather win at RIR than anywhere else on the schedule..

August 31st, 2009:  The weekend off was very relaxing. I stayed here in Emporia all week. I played a few games of softball, did some work around the farm and went out to the local go kart track to watch Jimmy practice. Jimmy helps us take care of the dogs and helps us around the farm so it was good to see him have fun racing..

August 13th, 2009:  I just made it back to Emporia. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday deep sea fishing in a fishing tournament in Nags Head, NC. I had a lot of fun. We got off to a rough start only bringing in one of our first five fish we had on the line..

July 22nd, 2009:  I just finished up a round on golf in Emporia. I have a couple of meetings this afternoon and then I'm off to Indy first thing in the morning. I'm speaking to a group of kids about safe driving. You know - no texting, talking on the phone, playing with the radio, etc. while you're driving. If one kid listens it'll be worth my time and I really appreciate Allstate for organizing it...

June 23rd, 2009:  Last week was great. We spent a couple of days in Vegas before heading over to Sonoma. I saw Terry Fator, again, at The Mirage. Man that guys is amazing. And, his characters / puppets in his shows are great, too. I won at craps and black jack. And, we carried that good luck with us to Sonoma...

June 15th, 2009:  It’s a busy day here in Emporia, VA. I’m hitting the road around 1pm to drive to Charlotte. I’m going to the WWE Raw show tonight as a guest of Ric Flair. WhOOOO! I think I’ll have good seats so look for me on TV!  I love wrestling...

June 9th, 2009:  It's a crazy week here for me. I left Pocono after the race and headed to Wisconsin to play in a golf tournament. It was hosted by Andy North. Tom Watson and Aaron Rodgers were also there. I had a great time but the weather wouldn't cooperate with us....

May 26th, 2009:  What's up? I hope you guys are all doing well. The Coke 600 may have been a better boat race this year than car race with all of the rain we had. We had a better car than where we finished...

April 16, 2009:  We just made it out to Phoenix, AZ. It took us about five and a half hours to fly out here from Emporia. We landed around 1:15pm local time then Amanda and I headed over to a golf company so I could be fitted for a new set of clubs. I’m sure that will not help my game any but it’s always fun to get a new set....

April 7, 2009:  Last week was a very tough week for all of us on the No. 19. We had a big meeting on Monday morning and feel like everyone in our organization got a lot off of their chests. We have a lot of work to do and we know that...

Mar 24, 2009:  I hope all is well. It’s Tuesday and I’m down in Charlotte, NC all week. I was at the shop yesterday, am heading to Motorsports Authentics this afternoon and will be taping some video stuff tomorrow all day for Tylenol..

Mar 10, 2009:  We just finished a day of tire testing in Darlington. Hopefully we’ll end up with a tire that will make us be comfortable and help us be able to race hard. Tire tests are a premium this year since we aren’t allowed to go and test at NASCAR sanctioned tracks....

Feb 24, 2009:  I just finished up a round of golf at The Wynn Golf course out here in Las Vegas, NV. The course was extremely nice but my favorite in Vegas is still Shadow Creek. DJ played it earlier this week and saw Tiger Woods playing. That’s cool!.......

Feb 16, 2009:  Well I've had a day to think about what could have been and to be honest with you it isn't any easier to swallow today than it was on Sunday night. I have been so close to winning that race so many times and I'll have to wait another year to give it another shot.......
